Here’s what conference offers GP registrars
“ We’re excited to be part of the RCGP conference. The programme was shaped to offer value for everyone— right from those beginning GP training to those approaching the end. We will be there and are keen to talk to as many of you as possible, gather your ideas and share our own work as we learn from fascinating activities carried out by our peers. It's a great chance to learn from each other, so do come. With so much in common and so few chances to connect in person, we’re really looking forward to meeting our colleagues, exchanging ideas, and having some fun along the way. Let’s make the most of this opportunity to grow together! ”
Everything you need to know
Join us on 9-10 October 2025 at the ICC Wales, Newport for the RCGP Annual Conference and Exhibition. This year’s event offers plenty of opportunities to develop, connect and celebrate the vital part you play in general practice. The full conference programme provides more than 60 hours of learning over the two days.
Come along to:
Support your career development by learning about new updates to guidelines via dedicated CPD sessions that will help towards your exam preparation (we’ve listened to your feedback and made sure that we have increased capacity to accommodate demand for these practical sessions).
Be part of the conversations and debates, and use your learning to tick off those hard-to-reach ePortfolio competencies.
Immerse yourself within the wider community; network at the social events — meet fellow GP registrars from across the UK and abroad, share experiences from your own training whilst building your professional relationships.
To help you get the most out of your conference experience, we’ve filtered the programme to show GP registrar relevant sessions.

What your peers say
-
There are too many things that I thoroughly enjoyed about the conference this year. The buzz, the energy, the positivity from everyone who I spoke with whether it be attendee, speaker, exhibition stand teams, RCGP events team. The networking opportunities, getting a chance to speak with other GP regs across the country was beautiful - it helped us to feel more connected.
—
I thought the conference was a good opportunity for trainees to network and to get an idea of some of the career paths we can aspire to
—
The plenary sessions were well thought through and pragmatic, addressing pressing questions and uncertainties plaguing GP practices and working in the NHS
