Professor Richard Neal
Professor of Primary Care Cancer Research, University of Exeter
Richard Neal is Professor of Primary Care at the University of Exeter and a GP at St Leonard's Practice. His research interest is in the diagnosis of cancer. He is Co-Chief Investigator of the NHS-Galleri Trial that has recruited and randomised >140K asymptomatic participants across Cancer Alliances in England, with the aim of achieving a stage shift in diagnosis using a Multi Cancer Early Detection Test. The trial will report in 2026.
