Dr Amina Hussain

Dr Amina Hussain is a GP partner in Nottinghamshire with clinical interests in sexual and reproductive health and neurodiversity. Alongside her practice, she is Training Programme Director for Sherwood Forest, where she plays a key role in developing and mentoring future GPs. She also serves as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead for RCGP Vale of Trent faculty, advocating for fair and compassionate systems across general practice.

Committed to professional growth and leadership, Dr Hussain is co-lead for the East Midlands Next Generation GP leadership programme and works as a coach, supporting aspiring leaders and colleagues at different stages of their careers. She was recently appointed as the RCGP Clinical Lead for IMG registrars, reflecting her dedication to ensuring equitable opportunities and tailored support for colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Through these roles, she combines her passion for education, leadership and inclusivity with her commitment to patient care as a frontline GP.
