Elizabeth Marr
Senior Clinical Pharmacist, ProPharm Services, Glasgow
Liz has been a pharmacist for 33 years, working across southern Scotland. She started in community pharmacy and had various roles before becoming an independent prescriber in 2005. Since then, Liz has worked in both community pharmacy and addiction services.
In 2015 Liz started to take a special interest in opiate analgesic prescribing within General Practice and began developing strategies to address dependency whilst supporting chronic pain management.
Liz started working with ProPharm Services in 2021 and it’s here that she says she began to see the tangible benefits of having a team with a broad spectrum of experience within General Practice. She believes that pharmacists are ideally placed to advise on medicines management and long-term conditions to support GP colleagues to deliver better patient care.
