Dr Emma Hyde

Clinical Director, Personalised Care Institute

Dr Emma Hyde is an Associate Professor in Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Derby, and Clinical Director of the Personalised Care Institute. Emma uses her role as an educator to positively influence students to be person centred in their approaches, has carried out large-scale research into concepts of person-centred care, and has delivered multi-professional person-centred care training to many organisations. Emma’s role as Clinical Director for the Personalised Care Institute (PCI), is to provide clinical leadership of the PCI, inform strategic planning of the PCI and provide clinical input to the development and delivery of high-quality educational resources produced by the PCI. Alongside this, she leads engagement with senior stakeholders to raise awareness of the PCI and encourage use of the PCI resources and attendance on PCI accredited training courses. She also works closely with the Head of the PCI to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the PCI.
