Professor Andrew Smith, University Hospital Wishaw,
graduated from the University of Glasgow medical school. He undertook a PhD
examining the role of exhaled nitric oxide measurements (FENO) in the diagnosis
and management of asthma at the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand and
was involved in the early clinical evaluation of FENO, with key publications in
New England Journal of Medicine and the American Journal of Respiratory and
Critical Care Medicine.
