Dr Taz Syed

Dr Taz Syed is a GP Partner at The Pall Mall Surgery with 25 years of NHS clinical experience. He currently works in safeguarding as the Named GP and the Designate Dr for 3 ICBs. Previously, he served the Chair of the National Network of Named GPs for Safeguarding until 2025.

From 2020 to 2025, he held the role of Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO), supporting digital strategy and information governance in Mid and South Essex. In 2025, he was appointed an RCGP Safeguarding Advocate. His career has focussed on the intersection of safeguarding, digital health, and health inequalities. He is active as chair of several safeguarding partnership subgroups, with an interest in education and neurodevelopment.
