Dr Richard Ma

General Practitioner/ Clinical Fellows in Menopause, The Village Practice/ Wellbeing for Women & NHS England/Improvement

Dr Richard Ma is a half-time GP principal in Islington, London. He has over 20 years’ experience in general practice and is a GP trainer supervising GPSTs, FY2s and medical students. His special interests include sexual and reproductive healthcare, public health and research. He is also a Clinical Fellow in Menopause, job sharing with another clinician. This role is funded by Wellbeing of Women charity, and is based at NHS England/Improvement with the Behaviour Change Team, working for the #ThinkMenopause programme. The aim of the programme is to improve the care and experience of people going through the menopause. He was recently awarded a PhD from Imperial College London, funded by National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Doctoral Research Fellowship. and will be starting a new post as an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer at Bristol University from July 2023. He will continue to work as a GP in London.
