
Dr Luke Sayers
GP Partner, Whitley Bay Health Centre
Dr Luke Sayers is a 44-year-old GP Partner in Whitley Bay. Originally from Nottingham, he came to the region in 2001 for medical school and stayed!
He completed GP training in 2013 and took on a personal list at Whitley Bay Health Centre. Luke has a longstanding interest in continuity of care and first published in 2014. Recently he has been involved in national conversations about continuity of care and bringing back the family doctor.
In April 2024 he became project lead for Continuity of Care North Tyneside (North Tyneside Place, NENC ICB). “Our goal is to make continuity practical, measurable, and achievable for every clinician and patient.”
Luke champions continuity models through educational presentations, workshops, podcasts, and stakeholder engagement.
