Dr Liz Stonell

Associate Dean Neurodiversity Educator Support, Yorkshire & Humber WT&E

Dr Liz Stonell is a General Practitioner in Wakefield and Associate Dean for Neurodiversity Educator Support in the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery. She is committed to supporting neuro-inclusive practice within medical education and is an active member of the British Association of Neurodiversity and the COGPED/COPMED Neurodiversity Task and Finish Group. Liz works in a neurodivergent team and enjoys being challenged to work and learn differently. She has supported resident doctors across a wide range of specialties to identify adjustments that help them flourish at work. Her contributions include the 2026 NHS Resolution Insight paper Supporting Neurodivergent Practitioners, the 2024 Practitioner Health podcast episode on neurodiversity within doctors, and a 2025 InnovAiT article (A guide to receiving feedback for neurodivergent GP registrars). At RCGP, Liz will share practical approaches to inclusive learning environments through culture change, affirming language and workplace adaptations.
