Dr Kevin McConville

Dr Kevin McConville is a General Practitioner, Clinical Reader and Head of General Practice at the University of Dundee. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners and a former Associate Dean (Education & Student Experience). Kevin has held a range of national and regional leadership roles in general practice education, including contributing to RCGP educational activities and supporting the development of undergraduate and postgraduate GP training. His research interests include professionalism, GP workforce issues, medical education and innovative approaches to learning in primary care. He has published widely on topics including student-led clinics, educational escape rooms and the future of general practice, and continues to work clinically alongside his academic role. His current work focuses on strengthening community-based medical education and inspiring the next generation of GPs through authentic, practice-based learning.
