Dr Kate Jones

Dr Kate Jones is a GP and Training Programme Director in Shropshire, dedicated to supporting resident doctors whose first language is not English in developing their communication skills.

Her interest began with a single case involving voice coaching for an international resident, which led her to collaborate with Severnvale Academy on a pilot programme. This evolved into the Advanced Communication Skills Course, now in its fifth year.

At the RCGP Conference, Kate and colleagues will share insights from this initiative, focusing on practical ways to enhance communication in everyday clinical practice.
