Dr Jonathan Kaye

Dr Jonathan Kaye is a retired GP, former Clinical Lead for Dementia at Manchester Health and Care Commissioning, and a member of Dementia UK’s Lived Experience Advisory Panel. He worked in general practice in Burnage, South Manchester, and chaired Manchester’s Dementia Strategy Group. Jonathan brings both professional and personal perspectives to dementia care. Becoming a carer prompted him to recognise gaps in his own knowledge and seek a deeper understanding of the condition. Drawing on these experiences, he explores the challenges facing GPs and families, and the importance of accessible knowledge, practical support and learning from people’s experiences of dementia.
