Professor Johnny Lyon-Maris

I have been a GP in the New Forest for 31 years. I am a GP trainer, the Medical Director for GP training and Registration at the RCGP, and a former Associate Dean for Southampton, the New Forest and the Channel Islands for 20 years. I hold a personal chair in medical education and faculty development from the University of Winchester and am a visiting research fellow at the University of Southampton. I have a strong interest in the GP workforce. I am the external examiner for KSS certificate of medical education and the Family Medicine programme the University of the West Indies. I have worked extensively internationally in a commissioned and pro bono capacity. I am the consultant civilian advisor in general practice for the Royal Navy.
