Dr Jeeves Wijesuriya

Jeeves Wijesuriya is a GP Partner at Belvoir Health Group in Nottinghamshire, working across a multi-site practice serving 27,000 patients. He is also a GP trainer and educational supervisor, supporting the development of the next generation of clinicians within primary care.

His clinical work is closely aligned with system improvement, with a particular focus on managing demand, strengthening clinical governance, and embedding safer, more consistent processes across practice. He has led work on medicines safety, risk management, and the implementation of digital tools, including AI-supported consultation software, with an emphasis on usability and governance.

Alongside practice, he holds national roles as a Council member at the General Medical Council and Director of Networks at the Association for the Study of Medical Education. He is also Chair of BMA Charities, supporting medical students and refugee doctors in hardship.

His interests centre on sustainable general practice, leadership, and education.
