
Dr Haroon Shah

Dr Haroon Shah is a GP Registrar in the West Midlands with a strong interest in leadership, education and innovation in healthcare. He holds a First-Class Honours degree in Healthcare Management and Leadership and was awarded the prestigious Healthcare Leadership Academy Scholarship. He is a multi-award-winning doctor, recognised across regional and national stages for his impact and innovation in healthcare, including being named RCGP Midland Faculty GP Registrar of the Year 2025 and receiving the inaugural British Muslim Health Awards 2025 Digital Health Award of the Year. He has delivered high-quality improvement work, leading impactful projects and developing patient-centred resources adopted across training practices. His leadership began at university where he served on the senate and chaired student committees. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he supported over 2000 medical students locally and contributed nationally through the BMA’s Medical Student Committee executive subcommittee. He remains committed to tackling health inequalities and developing innovative, system-level solutions to improve accessibility, outcomes and quality in primary care.
