GP Registrar
Dr Haroon Shah is a GP Registrar in the West Midlands with a passion for leadership, education, and innovation in healthcare. He holds a First-Class Honours degree in Healthcare Management and Leadership and was awarded the prestigious Healthcare Leadership Academy Scholarship. Haroon has consistently delivered high-quality improvement work, leading impactful projects and creating practical, patient-centred resources that have been adopted across all his training practices to improve care delivery. His leadership journey began at university, where he served on the university senate and chaired multiple student committees. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a key role both locally—supporting over 2,000 medical students at his medical school—and nationally, sitting on the Executive Sub-Committee of the British Medical Association’s Medical Students Committee, contributing to advocacy at the highest level. Haroon remains committed to tackling health inequalities and exploring innovative, system-level solutions to improve accessibility, patient outcomes and care quality in primary care.
