Dr Emma Wong

Based in Sheffield, Emma works as a GP Partner and a Training Programme Director for the Sheffield and Barnsley GP Training Scheme. She has worked as a pastoral tutor and examiner for medical students at the University of Sheffield, and an NHS ambassador for the Inspiring the Future Scheme. She is an external Trustee for the University of Sheffield Students' Union.

She sits on the Faculty Board for South Yorkshire and North Trent as the Vice Chair and co-Lead for establised GPs and sits on College Council as one of the RCGP’s Nationally Elected Council Members. She is a member of the Parents and Carers Significant Interest Group.

Emma has a keen interest in education, especially around how technology can help improve educational delivery in a post-Covid environment. She is particularly keen to improve the experience of newly qualified GPs and trainees (especially those with young children) particularly with regards to workload, communication and working environments.
