Dr Charlotte Wright

Dr Charlotte Wright is a Clinical Academic in General Practice at the University of Dundee and a sessional GP in Tayside. Her academic work is rooted in her experience as a practising GP, with particular interests in preventative medicine, rural practice and the translation of clinical practice into innovative medical education. She is academic lead for the Year 3 undergraduate General Practice curriculum, co-lead for the intercalated BMSc in Medical Education, and a lecturer in Medical Ethics. A Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA), Charlotte's educational scholarship focuses on curiosity as a driver to learning, clinical reasoning, and belonging. Her work on implementing an educational escape room has been recognised locally and showcased at international conferences as an innovative approach to experiential and gamified learning. She has also championed initiatives to strengthen student-staff connections and is currently leading curriculum innovations designed to promote authentic, inclusive and longitudinal learning experiences in General Practice.
