Dr Ching-Wa Chung

GP and Senior Clinical Lecturer, School of Medicine, University of Aberdeen

Dr Ching-wa Chung is a GP practicing in Angus Scotland since 1999. He started in Undergraduate Medical Education in 2010 and has had various roles since that time. He was clinical communication lead and an active member of the UK Clinical communication council for over a decade. This has led to his interest in how medical students and doctor’s interaction with patients including empathy. His current role as lead for clinical assessment (OSCE) at the University of Aberdeen has led this interest in assessment of these interactions. 

He is also currently lead of admissions for University of Aberdeen and chair of the Scottish Medical School Admissions Group. He is always considering how to improve the selection of medical students with a special interest in widening acces and participation.
