Vice Chair Membership and Education, RCGP Scotland
In post since March 2026. Active on the RCGP Southeast Scotland Faculty Board since 2014 and most recently vice chair of the faculty. An Edinburgh graduate, with 22 years of work within the NHS and 15 years as a GP Principal, Katie now works as a salaried GP for NHS Borders in their out of hours service. She also runs a private GP practice in Edinburgh, giving her insight into how the private sector sits alongside the NHS in Scotland. Her interests include Women’s health, dermatology, and care of the elderly. She also has a degree in Psychology and is studying towards an advanced diploma in transformational coaching. She uses this within her role as a mentor for the RCGP mentorship programme. Within the College, her ambition is to bring members together to strengthen connection and build on our professional family and home.
