Chair: Dr Elin Griffiths

Dr Elin Griffiths is a GP, Vice Chair for Members for RCGP Cymru Wales and GP Associate Dean with Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW), where she plays a key role in supporting and developing GP education and training across Wales. Based in SW Wales, she works closely with educators, trainers and healthcare leaders to help ensure high-quality learning experiences for GP registrars to strengthen the future workforce. Elin has a strong interest in medical education, workforce development and the delivery of sustainable, patient-centred primary care services.

Throughout her career, she has combined frontline clinical practice with leadership in postgraduate medical education, promoting excellence in training and professional development. She is committed to supporting learners at all stages of their careers, fostering inclusive learning environments and encouraging innovation within general practice education. Her work focuses on developing future GPs who are well equipped to meet the evolving healthcare needs of communities across Wales.
