Cancer Research UK is one of the world's leading funders of cancer research, supporting groundbreaking discoveries that will improve cancer outcomes now and in the future. Alongside this, we drive the translation of research into practice, influence policy and provide support for health systems and health professionals. We provide primary care professionals with practical tools and resources to help them manage patients with or at risk of cancer, tackle inequalities and improve patient outcomes. Our health professional offer includes a range of recognition and referral resources designed to support clinical decision-making and effective safety netting. Our most popular resources include the NG12 and SRG body posters, which provide a one-page, practical overview of suspected cancer referral guidelines. We also support primary care to boost equitable and informed participation in cancer screening via patient materials, practical tips, patient communication templates, and more. For peer-led learning, GPs can also join our GP Community of Practice, developed in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support. Members can participate in monthly webinars, hear from colleagues across the country, and access interactive e-learning resources.
