
Dr Mehwish Sharif
Dr Mehwish Sharif is a dedicated GP with a strong interest in well-being and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). She is a Training Programme Director (TPD) for the Walsall VTS in the Black Country and an active member of the AKT support group. In addition to her role as a GP appraiser, she also works as a GP Blended Learning Facilitator in the region. Dr Sharif was co-recipient of the 2024 Midland Faculty Robin Steel Award and the Quality Award, recognising her contributions to medical education and clinician support. A passionate writer and published poet, she authored A Rose of All Colours and contributed to Poems for a Pandemic and Voice of Peace: Europe Edition, as well as blog articles for BJGP, RCGP and Medic Footprints. For the past five years, she has delivered webinars and events that promote clinician well-being, using creativity and reflection to foster resilience in healthcare.
