
Dr Jude Hayward
Dr. Jude Hayward is a GP in Bradford and GPwER in Genetics / Genomic Medicine in the Leeds Genomic Medicine Service, providing a clinical service for Familial Cancer, Inherited Cancer Predisposition Syndromes and Neurofibromatosis Type 1. She has longstanding interests in education, workforce development and implementation of Genomics in the context of Primary Care, incorporating Genomics-informed prescribing (Pharmacogenomics). She is Primary Care Lead for National Genomics Education Programme, Chair of the Primary Care Workforce Group for Genomics, Chair of the Primary Care Working Group for GeNotes and Innovation Director for NW GMSA. As RCGP Joint Clinical Representative for Genomics with Dr. Imran Rafi she represents the RCGP at national level, led a national Primary Care educational needs assessment which informs the RCGP Curriculum Genomic Medicine content and is lead author for the GPwER in Genetics / Genomic Medicine framework. She is honoured to receive the RCGP President’s award 2025.
