Joanne is a GP academic working to reclaim general practice through optimising the work of advanced generalist medicine. She designed and leads the CATALYST workforce development programme in Humber; delivers a body of research on practice redesign for complex whole-person healthcare; and founded the WiseGP initiative as a new vision for general practice. She is internationally recognised for her work on medical generalism, including within her latest book Medical Generalism, Now!
