The Inflammatory Breast Cancer Network UK
The Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) Network UK is a patient-led charity dedicated to raising awareness of inflammatory breast cancer; the most aggressive and least understood form of breast cancer. Our mission is to improve outcomes through education and advocacy, and to offer support for patients, families and healthcare professionals.
We provide trusted information resources, run national peer-support groups and work closely with clinicians to bridge the gap between lived experience and medical practice. The charity also develops training materials and contributes to professional education, ensuring IBC is recognised and diagnosed at the earliest possible stage. Through partnerships with NHS Trusts, researchers and international experts, we promote evidence-based practice and highlight the latest advances in IBC treatment and care.
For patients and families, we offer practical and emotional support at diagnosis and throughout treatment, including signposting and opportunities to connect with others who understand the unique challenges of this rare cancer.
By amplifying the voices of those affected, the IBC Network UK strives to reduce delays in diagnosis, ensure equitable access to care and support clinicians in delivering the best outcomes for patients.
