Dr Amar Rughani
Leadership Mentor
Amar Rughani was a GP in Chapelgreen practice Sheffield for over 30 years, with a number of senior roles in GP education, examining and curriculum development. He was Provost of the RCGP in South Yorkshire and North Trent, during which time he encouraged inclusiveness and diversity in the team. Amar and Joanna are passionate about giving people the confidence and opportunity to make a difference in their communities. This led to their first joint publication, ‘The Leadership Hike’ and Amar continues to work to develop leadership, especially amongst younger practitioners from across the primary care team.
