Dr Kamilla Kamaruddin is a practicing GP in London and in gender health care at the Tavistock Gender Identity Clinic. She is an advocate for better human rights and healthcare for trans people. She has spoken at various events promoting trans awareness and healthcare for trans people within NHS and non-NHS organisations, including HSBC and Vodafone Global LGBT Event. She has written various articles about trans health and was published in Pulse Magazine, BJGP, Newsweek and RCGP Spring 2019. Dr Kamaruddin was featured in The Guardian and BBC futures.

She recently presented about trans healthcare at the Copenhagen LGBT Human Rights Conference 2021. She is also active in health webinars organised by NHS and non-NHS organisations including University of Sao Paulo and Malaysian Medical Students Association. She won the RCGP Inspire Awards in 2019 and the 2020 Frontline Heroes Pink News Award.
