Dr Hugh Reeve
Hugh is a GP Partner at Nutwood Medical Practice in Grange-over-Sands, South Cumbria. He is a recent Visiting Fellow at the King’s Fund and in 2018 co-authored a report on Innovative Models of General Practice for the Fund. Recently he has led a two-year Continuity of Care project, for the Morecambe Bay Primary Care Collaborative, funded by the Health Foundation. During this project he worked with 10 practices across Morecambe Bay exploring how they could improve continuity for their patients and how to measure this. In the recent past he was Cumbria CCG Clinical Chair and prior to that a PCT Medical Director. He started GP life in 1986 combining academia and inner-city general practice in Manchester for seven years. He then moved to Stockport continuing to work in general practice and doing interesting things in education and quality improvement, before moving to the Lake District in 2001.
