Dr Carey Lunan, Chair, RCGP Scotland
Carey Lunan is a GP partner in a “Deep End” practice, and is currently the Chair of RCGP Scotland. She champions the need to protect and promote the unique contribution of generalism in the modern NHS, and the role of GP as patient advocate. Much of her professional life has been dedicated to addressing stigma and health inequalities, improving the primary-secondary interfaces of care, and enabling systems and the people within them (patients and healthcare professionals) to engage in “realistic medicine”. One of her key priorities during her time as Chair is to establish ways of improving practitioner well being.
