Society of Occupational Medicine
The Society of Occupational Medicine (SOM) welcomes members who are healthcare professionals working in or with an interest in occupational health in the UK and globally. The SOM aims to support members in their career – offering a leading journal (Occupational Medicine), information on job opportunities, peer support, CPD events including free webinars, access to regional groups and special interest groups (in MSK, Mental Health, Occupational Health Management, Travel Health, skin and HAVS), a monthly e news, insurance for occupational health nurses and an annual conference.
SOM promotes a healthier workforce, working with the government, the healthcare community and other national organisations. This year, SOM’s Patron, Lord Blunkett, launched a report for companies, workers and commissioners of services that synthesised the evidence for occupational health.
