Project Description

Drug Safety Research Unit

The Drug Safety Research Unit (DSRU) is an independent academic unit internationally respected for its work in Pharmacovigilance (drug safety) for over 30 years. In partnership with doctors in England, the DSRU aims to protect patients in primary and specialist care from unwanted adverse effects of newly marketed medicines using its unique methods of monitoring patients during the lifecycle of medicines, including Modified-Prescription Event Monitoring.

The DSRU has provided training in pharmacovigilance and related subjects for many years and now offers popular Master classes in Effective Prescribing and other courses for GPs.
