Clinical Practice Research Datalink
CPRD is a government research service that has been trusted by GPs across the UK for the past 30 years to collect and supply anonymised patient data for public health research. In return for contributing data, practices are reimbursed for participating in questionnaires and clinical studies and receive regular prescribing and patient safety quality improvement (QI) reports for patient-level case finding and national practice bench marking. Case review from QI reports can be used in annual appraisals.
Joining CPRD is a simple, one-off process and is endorsed by NHS England, RCGP and National Institute for Health Research.
