Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD)

Project Info

Project Description

CPRD is a government research service that has been trusted by GPs across the UK for more than 30 years to collect and supply anonymised patient data for public health research. In return for contributing data, practices are reimbursed for participating in clinical studies and questionnaires and receive regular prescribing and patient safety quality improvement (QI) reports for patient-level case findings and national practice benchmarking. Case review from QI reports can be used in annual appraisals. Joining CPRD is a simple, one-off process and is endorsed by NHS England, RCGP and NIHR.
