How to get there

The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is less than a 15 minute drive or 5 minute train journey from the Glasgow city center and is located on the north bank of the River Clyde. The campus is split into three main venues; the SEC Centre, the SSC Hydro and the SEC Armadillo.

Travelling by Car

The SEC is just off the M8 motorway. Glasgow is linked to England via the M74 and Edinburgh via the M8. The M80 connects Glasgow to and the M77 connects to the west coast of Scotland.

To get to the SEC, Leave the M8 at junction 19 and join the westbound Clydeside Expressway (A814). Westbound on the Expressway (A814), take the cut off for the SEC.

Travelling by Train

Glasgow Central Street Station is the main city station; it can be accessed via several train services. If you are travelling into Queen Street, you can walk or get a bus to Glasgow Central Station to continue your journey by train to the SEC.

The SEC is less than a 5 minute train journey from Glasgow Central Station. Exhibition Centre Station is the nearest station to the SEC which operates approximately six trains an hour from Glasgow Central Station (departing from Platform 17 – low level). For more information please see here.

Travelling by Plane

Glasgow is served by three international airports. The closest airport to the city is Glasgow Airport. However, each airport has well connected train lines to & from the venue and is a 30 – 50 minute taxi ride away. Please see here for more information.

If you are a pre-agreed funded speaker you will be communicated with by the conference organisers about the travel options that are available to you.

To reduce your carbon footprint we would strongly recommend travelling by public transport where possible.
