Travel Information

Travelling by Train

Unfortunately there is disruption to the Liverpool Lime Street station during October. The following lines usually run services into Lime Street: East Midlands, London Midland, Merseyrail, Northern, Transpennine Express and Virgin. These services will be diverted or require you to change trains at a station outside of Liverpool.

The Merseyrail train service will take you into James Street which is less than a 15 minute walk from the ACC. You can also take this line further into the city to Moorefields Station if this is more convenient for your hotel.

Many trains are not disrupted until late in the evening. If you travel to the event from a Liverpool suburb on a line that has a rail replacement, you can alternatively consider driving and parking your car. Scroll down to view driving details.

For more details visit National Rail’s dedicated help page. Below is a visual explanation of the planned alternations

Travelling by Plane

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is a 30 – 40 minute taxi ride from the ACC. Manchester Airport is just 45 minutes taxi ride.

Alternatively, airlines at JLA include two of Europe’s largest low cost airlines, easyJet and Ryanair, both of whom have large bases at JLA. A taxi from the airport to the city centre will take approximately 20 minutes or the express bus service Route 500 will take approximately 25 minutes, dropping you off within a five-minute walk of ACC Liverpool. If you prefer, we can arrange private transfers for you.

Just 45 minutes’ away via the motorway network, Manchester Airport has an even more extensive network of flights, with long haul destinations including America and the Far East served with direct flights. Once again, we can arrange private transfers for you.
