The ACC Liverpool is fully accessible by wheelchair to all public areas by lift; this also includes the main auditorium. The exhibit hall and conference rooms are also served by escalators. If you have any special access requirements, please let a member of the organising team know.

We will be providing a smartphone conference app for delegates to use during the conference.

Avoid the queues! Print your badge at home and simply pick up a badge holder on arrival. Instructions for folding your badge and which colour lanyard you should collect will be included on the A4 PDF badge, which will be first emailed to you three weeks before the event. Our Student Volunteer team will be on hand to assist you.
Onsite printing will be available but may be subject to wait times during busy periods. If you plan to arrive in the 30 minutes prior to the opening plenary sessions we strongly advise that you print your badge at home.
For security purposes name badges must be worn at all times. In the event that you lose your badge, a replacement must be obtained at the registration desk.
In addition some of the exhibiting companies may ask to scan your badge. Please be aware that by doing this you will be providing your basic contact details; akin to handing them a business card.
A cash machine is situated in the Galleria and does not charge for withdrawals.
Business Services Located in the Galleria, the E.ON Business centre is open throughout the event.
Lunch and all scheduled refreshment breaks will be served from designated points in the exhibition hall. All food stations will serve the full lunch offering for that day. Some stations may be coffee only. Catering stations will be easily identifiable by banners hung from the ceiling.
All ACC Liverpool staff are familiar with the contents of the food served. Dedicated Allergy Champions are on hand at every station and identifiable by their bright green shirt. If you have special dietary requirements speak to an Allergy Champion and they will provide you with a dish that accommodates your requirements.
Certificates of attendance will be issued after the meeting and sent to your registered email address. They will provide a CPD breakdown of the sessions you have attended. Please ensure your badge is scanned on entering sessions. If your certificate is missing a session you will be able to edit your record and re-issue yourself a new certificate. If you attend one of the pre-booked dedicated CPD training sessions, you will receive a separate certificate of attendance for this session.
The cloakroom is located on the Galleria. There will be a charge of £1.00 per item. Additional space will be made available for luggage on Saturday. The cloakrooms are attended by a member of ACC Liverpool staff at all times; please note, however, that items are left at your own risk.
The RCGP and Haymarket have worked tirelessly to use recycled, recyclable and/or sustainable materials wherever possible. All printed materials carry the FSC logo. Signage is produced in reboard where possible. Delegate bags have been responsibly sourced. The RCGP Membership Stand is created from a modular re-usable framework to reduce wasted materials. Certain information in the Delegate Handbook has been moved online and to the App to reduce paper. All food is locally and responsibly sourced. Please use the appropriate rubbish bins within the ACC Liverpool. The ACC Liverpool team hand-sort all of their waste for recycling and, wherever possible, 100% of waste is recycled and reused. The ACC Liverpool only sends a minimal amount of waste to landfill.
In the event of an emergency please contact a member of staff from Haymarket, the RCGP or the ACC Liverpool, who are located on all levels and at the registration desk in the ground floor foyer. First aid support is available onsite; please ask an ACC Liverpool steward who will be able to assist you. In the event of a fire alarm, please leave your belongings and exit via the clearly marked emergency exits, where stewards will guide you to the meeting point. Do not use the lifts.
The exhibition will be located in Hall 2 of the ACC and will be open at the following times:
Thursday 12 October: 08:00 – 17:30
Friday 13 October: 08:00 – 16:45
Room 10, amongst the level 2 conference rooms, is a dedicated Family Room for the care of young children by their parents / guardian, including breastfeeding. Please speak to the registration staff or Student Volunteers who can direct you to the room. This room contains a live video feed from the Auditorium stage, playing the Plenary sessions and any concurrent sessions held in Auditorium A. Baby changing facilities are available in the Ladies toilets, located close to the room.
Your partner/carer should speak to the registration desk on arrival. He/she will be permitted to bring the child to the room to meet you.
Just a few steps from ACC Liverpool and an integral part of the venue’s riverside plaza location is the 1,600-space multi-storey Liverpool Waterfront Car Park, fully secure and open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
There are a multiple payment options that suit delegates attending just for a day, through to those staying over the weekend to enjoy the city. Payment for your place at the event must have cleared before your registration badge will be emailed to you. Delegates registering within 60 days of the event will be asked to pay by debit / credit card. Please note that we only accept MasterCard and Visa. American Express cannot be accepted.
Room 15 on the edge of the Level 2 conference rooms is a dedicated multifaith Prayer Room.
Where a speaker made their presentation available prior to speaking, you will be able to email or download a PDF copy of the presentation from the event app. Visit the session or speaker profile and scroll to the bottom to see any accompanying documents.
The poster programme will be located within in the exhibition hall. The posters will be numbered and displayed by category with colour-coded category signs along the rows of posters. The event app will list all the posters and include PDFs of posters if submitted by the authors.
Posters should be displayed by 11:00 on Thursday 12 October and removed by 14:00 on Friday 13 October. Judging will take place on Thursday 12 October. Winning posters will have a rosette placed upon them. Overall category winners will be on display on Saturday 14 October outside the conference rooms. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to a poster presented during the event.
The registration desk will be located on the Galleria and will be staffed by the RCGP events team during the following hours:

There will be dedicated Poster Queries and Social Events desks once you pass the front registration area.

At this year’s conference we are employing a session engagement tool called Sli.do to crowd-source questions from delegates and provide opportunities for you to engage with topics presented during the concurrent sessions. You will be able to join via your mobile devices at www.slido.com with the event code #RCGP17 and ask questions. You will also be able to vote up other people’s questions that you find interesting and benchmark your learning among your peers.
Speaker preview will be in Room 7, please ask at the registration desk for directions. All presenters must take their memory sticks to speaker preview at least two hours prior to their presentation. Please contact us in advance if this will not be possible. Your presentation will be preloaded onto the correct computers and checked to ensure that there are no glitches with any files within the presentation. You will not be able to view the presentation in your concurrent session room.
