There are a wide range of funding opportunities for GP Specialty Trainees and GPs to attend the RCGP Annual Conference & Exhibition. This includes awards based on a particular abstract (poster) topic, the GP Speciality Trainee Awards and poster prizes and bursaries funded through the College faculties and devolved councils.
Deadlines for these awards do vary and you are therefore encouraged to check the details below or with your faculty and/or council.

The RCGP GP Specialty Trainee Awards are open to any GP Trainee in the UK either currently engaged in or within one year of having completed specialty training for general practice at the time of application.
These awards are for original and innovative projects that contribute directly or indirectly to the quality of care for patients. Whilst originality and innovation is encouraged, a wide range of work is eligible – this might include projects produced for the e-portfolio, audits or educational and practice developments.
Up to five awards are available in 2018, each consisting of:
• Delegate costs to attend the RCGP Annual Primary Care Conference & Exhibition 2018 in Glasgow
• Invitation to a networking event
• CPD certificate

Deadline: 24 June 2018
To encourage GPs to provide higher standards of care for their teenage patients. A discretionary prize of £250 will be awarded to the best poster on the theme of Adolescent Heath Care for the RCGP Annual Primary Care Conference. The conference takes place from 4-6 October 2018 in Glasgow. This award is made in memory of Dr Kathy Phipps, an active and enthusiastic member of the RCGP Adolescent Health Group.
